Centered around themes of runaway artificial intelligence, hyper-optimization, and the erosion of human empathy, the soundscape is a surreal, technicolor balance between Les Claypool’s elastic, thumping bass virtuosity and Sean Lennon’s Beatles-esque melodic sensibility and lush, space-age arrangements. The production is dense, analog-warm, and kaleidoscopic, packed with swirling Mellotrons, vintage fuzz-pedal guitar solos, and dizzying, odd-meter rhythm sections.
